Guest Experience – A quick way to print money with your “hostel.ng” apartments.

You will agree with me that since the invention of “temporary landlords” emerged where people can buy apartments, furnish them, and make them look good, not to live in them but to lease out to travelers and anyone seeking a short-term stay, the industry has become a little more competitive as apartment owners seek possible means to make their apartments up to standard.

In the competitive landscape of hosting a room on hostel.ng, providing exceptional guest experiences can significantly impact your success and profitability.

In this article, we will explore how hosts can “print money” by prioritizing guest experience and satisfaction.

What can be described as “Guest satisfaction”?

Every human has what turns them on in terms of accommodation preferences.

A few are interested in luxury; a few more are not concerned if there is luxury or not, they just need a place to stay and relax.

However, there is a general definition we can give to this. Guest satisfaction is when a guest experiences ease and, in the end, doesn’t feel cheated for the amount paid.

If I pay a good amount of money, it is expected that goodness is seen in the apartment I look forward to staying in. Guest dissatisfaction is when “what I saw online” is better than “what I am shown.” Your interest as a host is to ensure you meet the standard of the guest.

How can I improve guest satisfaction?

High-quality amenities:

High-quality amenities will never go wrong. Everyone wants a good apartment with a great view and amenities.

This doesn’t have to scare you. High-quality amenities aren’t pegged on high-end gadgets or Jacuzzis and great wall lighting.

No, it can be as basic as having toiletries, kitchen essentials, good bedding, etc. All of these bring forth satisfaction to the guest.

Thoughtful Extras:

This, to me, is the best approach to guest satisfaction. You can provide thoughtful touches such as local food recommendations, a welcome basket, and complimentary snacks, and you can go beyond to leave a guide to using basic things in the apartment that may seem technical.

Sometimes people suggest music playlists. It is all about the creativity that helps your guests enjoy their stay.

Staying connected to your guest:

Communication is as important to your guest as anything else. Maintain open and prompt communication with guests throughout their stay to address any inquiries or concerns promptly. When you do this, it gives them a reason to come around often.

Conclusion

Guest experience determines the reviews your apartment gets, and those reviews determine the people who will come around to use your apartment.

When you get this right, you’ll make more money as a host.
